Yasuj City
Located in southwestern Iran, Yasuj is the capital of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, a city in the Zagros Mountain and at the foothills of the Dena Mountain range with archaeological findings dating back to the Achaemenid period. Quite outstanding among the Iranian cities and towns, Yasuj is shrouded by a vast oak forest, which both enhances its beauty and gives a temperate climate for its residents.
In the winter, the city experiences high snowfall and consequently the snow-capped Dena Mountain creates an exceptionally attractive ski resort suitable for ski lovers to enjoy themselves. Yasuj is called the natural capital of Iran with beautiful rivers and waterfalls such as Yasuj and Margon waterfalls.
The spectacular Yasuj waterfall within a few kilometers of the city with beautiful trees and gardens attracts a large number of domestic and foreign tourists all year-round particularly in the spring and summer.
The existence of various beautiful birds, fantastic valleys, streams, gardens, pastures and different types of flowers has changed this area into an attractive region inviting tourism activities.
In addition to being surrounded by rivers and springs, the beauty of Margon waterfall is enhanced with other natural beauties such as plains and a species of tulips and other colorful flowers, rendering a very beautiful scene to this region and making it an unforgettable experience for its visitors.
Likewise, Dena Preserved Area is considered as one of the precious tourist spot in the area with various trees and plants providing fascinating views.
